About Stephen
Stephen Kunken is a Tony Award–nominated, multi-award-winning actor working across theatre, film, and television. His theatre work includes Broadway, the West End, and productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as Off-Broadway and at many of the premiere American regional theatres. He has been involved in the development and premiere of new work presented by major cultural institutions, and his performances have been recognized by multiple award bodies for excellence in theatre.
On screen, Stephen’s television credits include Billions, The Handmaid’s Tale, A Spy Among Friends, The Affair, and the upcoming BBC Comedy Series TwentyTwentySix. His film work spans both independent features and studio productions, with projects screened internationally including collaborations with Stephen Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Ang Lee, Woody Allen, Barry Levinson, Stephen Daldry, Spike Lee and others.
Stephen’s work has received multiple awards and nominations, including Tony Award, Outer Critics Circle, Drama Critics, and DramaLeague nominations. His career reflects a sustained presence in critically recognized projects across mediums in the United States and abroad.
In addition to acting, he is involved in the development of new stage and screen projects, collaborating with writers, directors, and producers on original work and adaptations including as a Founding partner in Linden Lane Films.
